A Trip to ATL at The Bellyard

The Bellyard Midtown is everything I look for in a hotel. For me, a good hotel can make a trip. Because as much as I like exploring a place, I need a relaxing base to come back to and rest. Lately, I have been living for a good solo trip and recently I took a trip to ATL. Maybe it’s just me but usually I feel like finding the right place to stay in Atlanta can be intimidating. There’s just so many options and you don’t know if you’re choosing the right one. I am so glad I found The Bellyard for my trip this time. If you’re looking for a place that is beautifully decorated, centrally located, and a hub for relaxing after exploring the city, I highly recommend The Bellyard.

My Room at The Bellyard

I had the chance to stay 3-days | 2-nights in a queen deluxe guest room. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. I felt like the hotel really thinks of your needs throughout the room experience. My room had a bench near the window overlooking the ATL skyline that I could use for reading and relaxing. The Bellyard also offers workspaces throughout the hotel and a desk in many rooms. You can easily “work from home” from the comfort of your hotel.

Location and Amenities

The location of The Bellyard was perfect for everything I needed to do. As a New Yorker living in the Midwest, I’m used to either having transportation that makes it easy to get around or being in a place that’s small enough to get around. I always feel like ATL is big and spread out. So the fact that The Bellyard is right off of Interstate 85 in Midtown (near the Georgia Aquarium and the High Museum of Art) is a very convenient factor if you’re looking to get around. The hotel is also situated in what is known as The Interlock which is a multi-use development. It has several shopping options nearby and different attractions. Everything in The Interlock is steps away from the hotel and some of the amenities can even be accessed through the hotel lobby.

Inside the hotel, you have access to a bar area to hang out, a coffee shop, and a fitness center. Another amenity I used heavily was the valet parking. It’s $45 a night and makes having a car downtown much easier.

Food and Drink

The Drawbar was my favorite space outside of my room at The Bellyard! It is a unique bar and lounge area. By day you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner; and at night it turns into a full blown lounge that is very popular. There is also outdoor seating and the food is delicious. Also inside the hotel is the St. Germain French Bakery! It has a little booth in the lobby for fresh baked goodies, coffee, and teas. There is a bigger bakery downstairs if you take the steps where you can sit and it looks a bit like you are in France.

Stay at The Bellyard

I had a picture perfect stay during my solo trip to ATL this past month thanks to The Bellyard Hotel. It was truly one of my favorite ATL hotel experiences! The only thing I wish is that I could have stayed longer. The location, the decor, the food and drink, and the amenities gave me every bit of a luxury and relaxing experience right in the Midtown area. Like I said before, I can’t recommend it enough for your next trip to Atlanta!

I hope you enjoy the pictures!
