If you live in the Midwest United States like I do, you’re probably thinking that this winter will never end. Spring, where are you? We are approaching mid-April, and I still have to check the weather to make sure it won’t snow this week! I remember wearing a light sweater and flats to work just a few days ago and then having to change back into my coat and boots by the afternoon. For a girl who loves sunshine and Spring, this weather is really killing my vibe. But, despite the doom and gloom, the cold weather is giving me just the time I need to prep my closet for the upcoming Spring and Summer fashion seasons.
If you haven’t noticed by now, floral print is making a big splash this year. Ebay has a whole set of commercials dedicated to floral prints. If you haven’t seen them, then maybe that means I watch too much Hulu! Anyway, some of our favorite designers showcased different floral prints, from retro to vintage, during New York Fashion Week (NYFW). Although certain pieces can be expensive, it doesn’t mean that we can’t all partake in this fun trend. You know your girl got the hook up when it comes to affordable fashion! I love floral print because of the bright and broad color choices, but also because of the positive vibe they create. Colors lighten up any mood, am I right?
I picked this floral print blog look today because it combines two of my favorite things: prints and co-ord sets. I mean, how easy is it to get dressed when you have an outfit that is already put together? There’s no need to find the right top or pants to match, which makes it super easy to throw on and pair with your favorite accessories to get you out the door.
Don’t be afraid to mix and match floral prints and colors. Your floral is your way; express yourself in the way that makes you feel unique. One thing I have learned about clothes is that it is less about what you wear, and more about how you wear it. How many times have you seen someone wear an outfit and thought to yourself, “wow, that looks cute on her, but I could never pull it off.” Well, that’s because she is choosing to pull it off and you can too. When you put something on your body, do it because it represents you, and never to please anyone else. Rock your floral your way all 2018! Or at least until the Fall when we’ll be jumping into another new favorite; stay tuned and I’ll keep you posted!
