My Ikea Experience
I recently got invited to a press event for the first Ikea store in Indiana…I wasn’t sure what to expect because it was my first time at a physical Ikea location (I know, I know – Aicha, are you living under a rock?). After a beautiful breakfast and some information on the new location, we were taken on a guided tour of the massive all-purpose store and let me tell you – I was in for a surprise. I was seriously blown away by the shopping experience; you can build your entire home and furnish it all solely through Ikea. How many places allow you to get everything you need at one place? I was in awe; every corner we rounded was more breathtaking and surprise-filled than the last. Did I mention it was CHEAP? IKEA is seriously (and surprisingly) affordable; the store truly allows you to have a stylish home without breaking the bank. This was great news for me considering we’re moving soon (*hint, hint *wink, wink stay tuned!).
Here are few things you can find at the IKEA Fishers store:
1. Smalland – is the play area where children can play free of charge for 60 minutes while you shop (isn’t that awesome).
2. The Ikea restaurant and Café- You know when it involves food, I’m always there. This area is perfect to rest and re-energize between shopping… Don’t forget to try their Swedish meatballs (You can thank me later).
3. Showroom – If you are not sure what you are looking for, this is the place to go. This area will have IKEA furniture put together and will help you make a decision.
4. Lastly, one thing I absolutely LOVE about IKEA is that you can put different furniture pieces together and see if they match your taste before you buy them.
