The Struggle
I wished for daughters when I was pregnant. I couldn’t wait for the chance to dress them up and introduce them to fashion. And then I had daughters. Now, the dream I used to have of styling my girls is actually a full-time job that takes up so much of my day-to-day time. It feels like I’m shopping every other weekend, and none of the money I spend is spent on me! Kids grow so quickly that even if you do a shop haul today, you might have to replace most of what you bought by next month.
Growing Pains
I swear Diari is an inch taller every time I pick her up from daycare. Sometimes, her dad will dress her in something and when I see her, I get so upset because I’m like, “How could he dress her in something so old?” Only to realize that it’s not old at all, she just grew out of it. This is why I am grateful that Stitch Fix has introduced a kids line. The same fashion service I have used and relied on for myself, I can now use for Diari. Diari gets super excited whenever she has new clothes, shoes, or toys so just imagine how her face lit up when she opened her first Stitch Fix box.
Stitch Fix Saves the Day
With Stitch Fix, I barely have to lift a finger. All I need to do is take a quiz to describe what Diari’s style is, add sizes for every piece of clothing, and also add my spending preferences. Diari’s style is always changing. While she loves dressing up in fun color dresses, she also loves sneakers and tights because they allow her to run freely and get messy. I can also leave a note for the stylist; for instance, I can ask for more of a specific color, outfit, etc. The kid’s line carries sizes 2T to 14 so I really don’t have to worry about Diari growing out of this service anytime soon. Stitch Fix also offers a variety of brands including some of the ones we already love such as Nike and more!
Styling Diari
It’s only been a month since we welcomed a new addition to the family and as happy and excited as I am, I am finding it hard to get back into a routine and with the weather warming up I am starting to transition Diari’s clothes from winter to summer. Stitch Fix is a busy mamas dream because they do all the work for you. The process is so easy. Once you complete your preferences quiz, you receive a fix from your personal stylist and you get to try everything on. I love that you keep your favorites and only pay for what you keep, then you send back the rest. I get to schedule on my terms and there’s an automatic option too. Stitch Fix is giving Diari the new and up-to-date fashion that she loves, while also making my life as a mama easier. I still spend all my money on them, but at least they don’t have to take all my time too!
